Mr. Event: Amazing Event Organization!

Dear Atlas Blog Readers,

Have you ever shown up to an event early? I suggest you do it sometime . . . as long as you don’t get in the way of course!

The reason I bring it up is because you will be amazed at what you see . . . if the organizers know what they’re doing of course!

I believe I’ve written in the past about my own experiences trying to host an event. Some have been bigish (that’s a word, but don’t look it up); others have been small. One lead to the absolute destruction of my niece’s happiness for her birthday parties forever. It is so sad.

It’s amazing to see what actually goes into putting together an event. When the guests finally arrive and everything is looking perfect, I wonder if they know that merely hours before, people were running around with broken glasses, DJ’s were fighting the lighting guys for power supplies and the venue set up the ballroom with the wrong number of tables and just found out that the dance floor isn’t big enough.

I wasn’t involved in this event . . . I was just a silent observer, but even watching the whole thing unfold was like that scene in the Wizard of Oz where all the flying monkeys are flying around the Wicked Witch’s house and they are screeching for death and destruction.

But then an amazing thing started to happen. Everything started coming together. As the time for the guests got closer and closer, so did the completion of the event. It was an amazing sight to behold.

It went from the scene with the flying monkeys to the scene in Beauty and the Beast where all the dishes and plates and silverware and food start dancing as they set themselves for dinner.

I swear! It was exactly like that!

Hats off to the professionals who make events an absolute delight for us to enjoy.
